Out of Gas

I ran out of gas on the way home today from running some errands. Thank the Lord above that it was not 105 degrees like it has been. I had both kids with me, and that would have been torture! Luckily, it was overcast and breezy. Tobin figured out what happened pretty quickly. Our conversation went like this:

Tobin said, "Can't go mom, can't go!"
I explained, "I wasn't paying attention, and I forgot to fill up with gas. Without gas, the car can't run."
His reply: "Sorry mommy"
I said, " You don't have to be sorry buddy, you didn't do anything wrong. "
He said, "No, YOU sorry mommy"
I replied, "Yes, buddy- I'm sorry."

Lesson from my 2 year old: say your sorry when you cause trouble ;)

Thankfully, My Prince Charming came to my rescue!

On another note: I wish I would have invented the gas can. Maybe I'd be a billionaire by now!

Have a super weekend people!

Look Who's Sitting Up!!!

And by the way, Tobin and Caroline are the best of friends!

he LOVES his sissy!

Helping her not to fall over!

Out at the Pool

We have been taking advantage of a neighborhood pool this summer. It is in our friends neighborhood... but it is free (using her key pass, of course) and quiet (rarely anyone is there at all) and relaxing (duh) and cool (a given). Not to mention, it wears the kids out so that they take good naps for me! On Fridays, Tony is off of work so we take an opportunity to go to the pool as a family most weeks. Here are some photos from a couple trips to the pool.

He LOVES jumping in. No fear!

Comfort Food

Whenever I'm feeling down, missing "home", or just wanna feel like a kid again here is the meal that I usually pick. I don't' know if it was the Playdough today, or the emotional strain on I've been feeling lately, but tonight was one of those nights. Here's how to make my comfort meal...

Hot dogs...
put em in a non-stick skillet with Ketchup and brown sugar...

Until they bubble like this...

Serve with Mac N Cheese...
(tonight I added Tobin's favorite veggie and fruit) Add your favorite...

And Viola! My comfort food... Thanks mom for your amazing Supermom skills and gourmet cooking... but this is still my favorite - Mac N Cheese with BBQ hot dogs! YUM-O!

Tobin Explores Playdough

Every time I think I should get it out, I chicken out. It may just make me the worlds worst mom but Tobin has never played with playdough at home before today. Yes, I know he's almost three. He has played with it at church, and friends houses but never at home. I guess I've just been too afraid of the mess. Caroline will be playing with playdough much sooner than Tobin did... Here are some photos to document today. Enjoy!

All I Want For Fall Is My 2 Front Teeth!

She is teething up a storm, people! Her bottom two are through, and her top two are on their way. I finally got a pic of the bottom two today through a cheesy grin. While I was at it, I snapped a few since she was so happy. Enjoy!

Okay, so she's not so happy in this one...

If you click on the photo below, it will enlarge so you can see her two little pearls!

Look at that sweet face!

"I got my feet again!"

"What are you lookin at mom?"

I could just eat those cheeks!

Almost sitting up on her own!

Chewing away at those teefers!

Summertime Steadiness

Is anyone else having trouble finding routine in the craziness that is summer 2020? I am a planner. Yes, I still carry around a paper planne...
