We Miss You!

You were the second person I called after the fire (after my parents).
You said you were going to come help so you loaded your truck and drove.
You drove 1333.93 miles.
You came with your truck full of stuff. From dishes and table clothes to sheets and toys.
You washed every dish in my kitchen. I think you spent more time at the sink, then you did in bed.

You made Tony his first birthday cake in this house. You let the kids lick the beaters.

You bought an ice-cream maker and taught us how to make homemade ice-cream... Just like I remember doing with you when I was a little girl.

You bought us a flag and put up the flag pole on our front porch.
When we didn't have furniture, you made a table out of boxes.

You loved on my kiddos and spent time with them.  You spoiled them. You spoiled us.

You slept on a cot for a week.
You stepped on Lego's and tripped over baby dolls.
You used your computer as a DVD player to entertain my babies.
You comforted us.

You fed us.  You cleaned up after us.  You helped us get settled.

You got to see Tobin to his first day of school. What a special memory he will always have!

We spent time hanging out on the front porch and going to antique stores.
We spent hours at a certain retail store (that starts with a "W").
We loaded up on necessities we couldn't live without.
You gave advice.
You loved on us.
We cried together, then we laughed until we cried again.

You got to bond with Caroline, our sweet girl.
The one we named after you, because you are so special to us.

We said goodbye.  You drove 1333.93 miles back home.

 We miss YOU Aunt Carol!
We love YOU Aunt Carol!
We are thankful for YOU Aunt Carol!

Transition Time

We are in transition stages of moving. We are staying in the Oklahoma City area, but God is calling us to Lease out our house, and live like no one else... so we CAN live like no one else one day. With medical bills, and School debt, we need to make major sacrifices around here for a year and pay off debt and build up a legacy for our children. God has provided an amazing blessing, in the form of a (tiny) rent house (on 5 acres) out in a small town, just outside the Metro. (notice in the photo below... everything is packed up except the Scentsy warmer. Ha!)

We move on the 1st, and Tobin starts Pre-K the next week. I'm sure I'll be MIA around the blogosphere for a little while. Keep us in your prayers. Caroline went to sleep with 3 pacifier's tonight. She is so confused, and needs soothing, apparently. Tobin has been more emotional than I have ever seen him, this past week. They will adjust, eventually. When the move is over and we are somewhat settled, I'll tell the amazing story of this whole situation. God is truly performing miracles. All we are doing is obeying.

With the CRAZY HOT temps in OK, we are just trying to stay cool. Have a great last couple weeks of Summer! I'm ready for FALL!!!

So undeservedly blessed, Rachel

Thankfulness (and family photos)

Here is what you have been waiting for! These were taken three weeks ago now, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out! Some of these photos truly capture in just one second, in what our whole life seems to be all about. This weekend, as we head into the Thanksgiving Holiday we look back on the last year. We thank the Lord above, and all his goodness. We are thankful for my ITP remission. We are all around thankful for being healthy and happy and blessed. We are truly undeserving of his matchless grace! Enjoy the photos. Think about your blessings this week. May you and your family be truly blessed!

Summertime Steadiness

Is anyone else having trouble finding routine in the craziness that is summer 2020? I am a planner. Yes, I still carry around a paper planne...
