Thanks Uncle Nathan!

I have received so many compliments on the new name for our family blog. The "Cobblog" was suggested by my sweet brother, Nathaniel. We had lots of suggestions from lots of people, but Nathan's one the bid. We love you uncle Nathan! Thanks for being so great!

My little Monet

What a mess!

Tobin LOVES to eat, for those of you who don't know. Lately, he has been wanting to "play" with his food before he eats it. I think we have finally kicked this habit. These photos were taken last week. It was such a mess, I had to share!

29 week baby bump

I took this last night at church in a mirror with my cell phone. My head is kinda cut off. At least you get the picture. LOL!

28 weeks

I'm 28 weeks today. I went for a check-up today, and everything is great. I always hate getting on the scale, but today it said I lost two pounds. So, up to date this pregnancy... that is a total weight gain of 4 lbs! What is up with that? I have been trying to be careful, and I guess my fear of another huge baby is helping motivate me. I gained 35lbs with my sweet Tobin boy (who, if you forgot, weighed 10lbs 9oz when he was born). Anyway, I had to take Tobin with me to the doctor today, because I couldn't find a sitter. Tony met me at the office from work to help keep Tobin wrangled for me. Tony snapped a couple photos while we were waiting for the doctor to come in.

I was not ready for this photo. I was telling Tobin to smile. Oh well... I look huge!
This one isn't flattering either, but I had to post it because Tobin was talking to our baby girl. See his hand on my belly? What a sweet boy!

Thank you Lord for our family's health. Thank you for blessing us!

Weekend with Aunt Candace

Tobin stayed the weekend with his Aunt Candace. She spoiled him and posted photos on her blog. Thanks Aunt Candace for taking good care of him. He loves you so much!

A Box Full of Fun!

I received a package in the mail on Saturday, and Tobin immediately grabbed the box to play in. He got inside of it. He put things inside, and pushed it around. He hid underneath it. He colored on it. He sat in it, he laid in it. You name it, he pretended it. What a blast he had! Here are some photos of him and the box from the last two days. The tv was never on, all he wanted to do was play in his box!

Saturday evening, still enjoying the box...

Sunday afternoon, coloring in/on the box.

Sunday night, after he went to bed... As you can see, the box it destroyed. He woke up this morning and wanted to play with it some more. Looks like we need a new box. Lol!

The Results are In!

I think I deserve one of these!

...because I passed my 3 hour glucose tolerant test! Thank you, Jesus! I give you all the glory!

tough day...

Today was one of those tough mommy days. Tobin recieved his booster shots yesterday, and a flu shot. Today he wasn't feeling up to par. I went to register at Babies R Us this morning, and he was an absolute pill. I guess he acted like a normal 2 year old boy in a store like that, but Tobin is always such a good shopper! We came home, ate lunch, and then it was time for nap. You guessed it, he would not take a nap. To spare you all the details in the day, I'll just say that it was rough. Am I the only mother whose two year old wears her out? Do any of you know what I'm talking about... the afternoon after a no-nap day?

Anyway, I took this video about 5pm tonight. Enjoy!

What?

Yesterday was National Housewives Day. How did I miss this memo? Something must be done!

Voting...

This morning, after spending almost 4 hours in the Lab, getting blood drawn and waiting to get it drawn again... Tony and i went to the poles to vote. The line went out the door. It was super windy, and we had Tobin with us. Of course, I did not forget the sucker to keep him happy. I snapped a couple photos with my phone before we went in. I hope you all voted today! May God bless America, we need HIM!

Check out that wind blown hair! It looks like I am sticking my finger in an outlet! ha!
Tobin, patiently eating his sucker. It was all gone by the time we were voting.
If you haven't yet, GET OUT AND VOTE!

Less Sugar, please!?

Last week, I had my one hour glucose test for gestational diabetes. The Doctor called me and informed me that my sugar levels were elevated and that I needed to come in for a three hour test. So.... tomorrow morning at 8am I will be having my blood drawn. The next step is drinking this luke warm orange sugary drink ( which I think tastes like melted Popsicle), then getting my blood drawn 3 more times at different time intervals.

My risks are higher for gestational diabetes because I had a baby over 9 lbs. It's not like I could have helped how huge Tobin was when he was born. He is still a tank! (We have his well check-up on Wednesday, and I am looking forward to seeing if he is still in the 90th percentile. He has been in that category since he was born. ) The risk factors for my baby girl (if my glucose comes out high) is excessive weight gain for her. Folks, we all know I don't need my babies to be even bigger than they intend to be. I mean, seriously. Tobin was 10lbs 9.5 oz. Do I really need a baby bigger than that? No, I don't. I have only gained 6 lbs this pregnancy, and have really been trying to be "healthy". I didn't even eat ANY Halloween candy. So, as you can imagine... I was a little shocked when my test came back elevated.

If you think about it, please pray for me. I have to fast for 8 hours before my test, and am nervous about how my stomach will handle it. I am still pretty queasy when my stomach is empty. I will be hoping and praying that I keep everything down that's supposed to be down, and that my sugar levels will be normal tomorrow. I will update everyone when I get my results back. Thanks for the prayers!

Date Day

As most of you know, a pastor's salary isn't the largest around. In fact, Tony and I rarely spend money on ourselves to go on dates. This weekend was such a blessing to us! Our next door neighbors, Patrick and Dawn, had two extra tickets to the OSU game and asked us to tag along. Tony and I aren't huge OSU (Oklahoma State University) fans, but we couldn't miss out on this opportunity. These were not normal, football stadium tickets. These tickets were Indoor Club VIP tickets, with a VIP parking pass to go along with them. Inside the club, there were many buffets, concessions, Drinks, ice-cream, etc. all free for our enjoyment. It would be an understatement to say we had a great time. We had an amazing time! We feel so blessed to have opportunities like this. Here are some photos from our day...

Thanks for the wonderful time! Go Cowboys!
...and a big thanks to Mimi for watching Tobin for over 24 hours for us! We love you so much!

Halloween fun and events

Family pic at the fall festival-He is getting harder for me to hold. Can you tell? ;)

Tobin was scared of his Elmo costume at first. I captured a few tears.

Summertime Steadiness

Is anyone else having trouble finding routine in the craziness that is summer 2020? I am a planner. Yes, I still carry around a paper planne...
