Last night, our family went to the Calvitti's Christmas party. It was so nice! We loved spending time with everyone there, and had a great engaging in meaningful conversations. We had a "white elephant" present exchange. Tony picked a package that was this plastic/resin nativity scene. Tobin has been playing with it the whole morning! I could hardly get him down for a nap because he wanted to sleep with it! I'm not sure who brought this gift to the party, but it is being used for a wonderful purpose... To teach a two year old about the "true" meaning of Christmas.

Hi ! I am still a reader of your blog, I just rarely leave a comment because I get it in email digest mode and read it in my inbox. Wanted to pop in today because I love your little nativity. What a cute white elephant. (usually you get something far less great) Veggie Tales makes a cute one and so do the Little People of fisher price. I added these to my collection a few years back for the boys. There is one that comes with a book sold in Christian bookstores called What does God want for Christmas? The poem that accompanies little gift boxes leads you to open up all the characters of the traditional nativity (except only one wiseman, weird, oh well) but the last box has a mirror on bottom so that they know that what God wants is "you" for Christmas. Kinda cool. Playmobil makes a nativity too but I don't recommend it until a few more years for you...lots of small parts. You took some really great photos of that little nativity. Very beautiful along with the sweet story!
So cute!
That is a CUTE nativity set! Even cuter than the one that was lost...
that was too funny and i almost stole it from Tony - i am glad i did not!!
