Spring Break Trip to Arkansas

My sweet Aunt Carol from California (whom Caroline is named after) flew in on St. Patrick's day, and the two of us took the two kiddos to Arkansas for the week, while Tony was on mission trip. Here are some photos from the trip. I have so many blogs to catch up on this weekend, so bear with me! We had a wonderful time and miss our Arkansas family already!

Uncle Collin and Caroline

Gettin' some Aunt Serina lovin'

Papa, doin' the Caroline burp routine!

more Caroline burping... yes this happened a lot!

Tobin, playing with the "sword bubbles"

Nonny's Garden... Cold, but the Daffodils were in bloom!

Caroline has had Colic so much lately, and we discovered the "Colic Hold" out of a book of home remedies. Here is Aunt Carol doin' the "Colic Hold"

Yes, even uncle Nathan got a turn to do the Colic Hold. I think the clock behind him says Midnight.

One day, we went to the Church for a work day. While everyone was working hard, I took the kids outside to play. I would not survive without my sling- Caroline loves it!

Nonny bought Tobin a foam sword after the work day for being such a good boy. He fell asleep with it in the car. So cute!
Caroline, finally sleeping in the vibrating baby seat. Thanks Aunt carol for her first baby doll, too!

Doesn't she look comfy?

"tell me what's wrong, baby! " ~ Aunt Carol

Tobin and his slinky!

Yes, this was not staged- we were really all trying to make her happy!

After church Sunday, we went as a family out to eat before heading to Arkansas. We ate at one of my favorite places- Red Robin. Yum!

We had a wonderful time in Arkansas, but it was great to be back home. The kids were definitely ready to get home! We miss you all so much!

Saint Patricks Day Fun!

We started our Trip to Arkansas on St. Patricks day. Here is the start of the many blogs I have to catch up on.

The whole family, around the table on St. Patty's day- minus Tony ;(

Uncle Nathan throwing Tobin in the air!

Uncle Nathan- The Young Irish Lad. Hehe ;) Don't worry people, the beard is now gone!

Roller Skating 101

Last weekend, we went to Mimi's to skate. For those of you who don't know...

Tony grew up skating every weekend! His grandmother (mamaw) has worked at the skating rink for over 20 years. She still works there! So, whenever we get a chance, we can skate for free. FYI- no skating for me. The last time I roller skated at this rink, I broke my wrist. Tony however, is a wonderful skater. There is one video of him skating- he would have probably shown off some skills if he knew I was taping! Enjoy the videos of my boys skating!

Date night at Lowes

Tony has been decking our attic lately. We have been watching a lot of HGTV and the DIY network. Needless to say, Home Improvement stores are our playground, lately. We needed a fluorescent light kit for our new storage room in the attic so, tonight we loaded up the stroller and went to Lowes. The kids were both asleep, and it awkwardly felt like a date. We had a great time, looking around and dreaming about all the fun things one day we will do to a home. I think we went down almost every Aisle! Anyway, i snapped these two pics of the kiddos in the limo (aka-double stroller).

Tobin looks as white as a ghost, all camera
And, no... Caroline is not sunburned- that is the camera, again!
Isn't the green hat cute? Thanks Mimi!

5 week stats

9lbs 6 oz
20 1/4 inches
75 %

Yes, that's right folks... She is growing!

She is in the 75th percentile for her age, and doing wonderfully but to get some perspective of how small I think she is....
She is still a whole inch shorter, and over a pound smaller than Tobin was when he was born.

Summertime Steadiness

Is anyone else having trouble finding routine in the craziness that is summer 2020? I am a planner. Yes, I still carry around a paper planne...
