Right now I am procrastinating organizing our Master Closet, while watching storm coverage on the TV. There are, once again, tornado outbreaks across Oklahoma right now. It wouldn't be Oklahoma without crazy weather.
The transitioning to Tulsa was crazy, yet at the same time peaceful. We knew God wanted us here and led us here, and He opened all the doors and worked out all the details. Although a busy time for us, it has finally settled down around here. It's starting to feel more normal to be here, it's just not like home quite yet. Unpacking and organizing are actually fun to me, I am kind of weird like that, so I'm doing my best to get us settled in quickly. The kids are loving having their own rooms and space to move around in. We have a great little neighborhood and big back yard. We are LOVING our new Lifechurch.tv campus already! I know God has great things planned for us here.
The last 10 months have held a lot of change for us, but we are counting our blessings and enjoying all things new. The kids are sleeping with their doors open at night, but sleeping soundly. They feel safe and secure now and often bring up something that "was in our house that burned down". I know they need to talk about things when they arise, but I am always quick to point out the positives, what God has done recently, then quickly change the subject. I think transitioning to a new home has stirred up a few emotions for us all. Tony and I have decided the "fire" will not define our family. It was a chapter in our book, and we are super excited about starting a new chapter in Tulsa!
I leave you with a few photos from the last couple months:
Our friends in Edmond said goodbye to us with refreshments and fellowship, and everyone wrote us a sweet card. We are so blessed by all your words!
I took these before we loaded the UHaul moving truck, in Guthrie.
We said goodbye to the house that helped heal our hearts after the fire-- the house where we started over in.
Tony is my hero- he was such a champ throughout the move, and working two jobs. I am so proud to call him my husband!
We were still unloading the Moving truck, when I found Caroline coloring in her new room, amidst the boxes! What a funny girl!
Our New Home!
Sweet Mothers Day flowers and cards from my awesome family
Tuesday night, we had our first visitor here! Uncle Nathan came to visit! We had a great time with him!
I apologize for the time-lapse in blog posts lately! I
